Pairents ("we", "our", or "us") is a baby name swiping app for couples. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

1. Information We Collect

We do not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use Pairents. However, the following data is collected automatically:

• Anonymous User ID — When you first open the app, Firebase Authentication assigns your device an anonymous ID. This ID is used solely to link you with your partner's swipe session. It is not tied to your name, email, or any personally identifiable information.
• Swipe data — The names you like or pass on are stored in Firebase Firestore, associated only with your anonymous ID, in order to detect matches with your partner.
• Device advertising identifier (IDFA) — Google AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier to serve relevant ads and measure ad performance. You can reset or limit this in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
• Usage and diagnostics data — AdMob and Firebase may collect anonymized usage data (e.g., app interactions, crash logs) to improve app stability and ad relevance.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To match your liked names with your partner's liked names in real time.
• To display relevant advertisements via Google AdMob.
• To maintain your daily free-undo allowance using on-device storage (UserDefaults).
• To improve app performance and diagnose crashes.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for any purpose beyond what is described above.

3. Third-Party Services

Pairents uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:

• Firebase (Google) — Anonymous Authentication and Firestore database. Firebase Privacy Policy

4. Data Retention

Your anonymous ID and associated swipe data are retained in Firebase Firestore for as long as your pairing session is active. Because the ID is anonymous, we have no way to identify or delete data for a specific individual upon request without the anonymous ID itself. If you uninstall the app and reinstall it, a new anonymous ID is created.

5. Children's Privacy

Pairents is intended for use by adults who are expecting or planning to have children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided information through our app, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

6. Your Choices

• Ad tracking: You can limit ad tracking on iOS via Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
• Data deletion: Because all data is tied to an anonymous, non-identifiable ID, we cannot retrieve records for a specific person. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
